RENT in Angola
The Nominal Register of Workers is an administrative tool for collecting information used in the public, private, mixed and cooperative sectors. Executive Decree 155/2004 of 31 December. Published in the Official Gazette No. 105, Series I.
What it is
The Nominal Register of Workers (RENT) is an administrative tool for collecting information on the workforce, used in the public, private, mixed and cooperative sectors.
Through it, each employer declares the composition of its workforce: workers’ identification details, categories, remuneration, nationality and contractual status.
Objectives
To enable the State to gain an accurate picture of employment in the country, support the development of labour and wage policies, and verify companies’ compliance with their legal obligations, including the rules applicable to hiring foreign workers.
Deadlines
RENT is an annual obligation, submitted at the beginning of the calendar year using information from the previous year. It is advisable to prepare the data in advance, ensuring that payroll processing, new hires and employment terminations for the reporting year are properly reconciled before submission.
Penalties
Failure to submit, late submission or the provision of incomplete or incorrect information exposes the company to fines, as well as making processes such as work visa applications and obtaining compliance documents more difficult.
Afoguel prepares and submits RENT for its clients, ensuring consistency between payroll, contracts and the information declared.
